JOB OVERVIEW
Director of Government Programs for Population Health plays a crucial role in leading and implementing initiatives to improve the overall health and well-being of a specific population within a government or public health context. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring the effectiveness of programs designed to address health disparities and promote positive health outcomes.

5 - 7 years    Public Health, Health Management or related fields    Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial for effectively managing teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and advocating for population health priorities
The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions to address population health challenges is essential
A strong understanding of healthcare systems, policies, and financing is necessary to navigate the complexities of population health initiatives
 

Job Responsibilities
Essential Function
Analyze population health data to identify health needs and disparities, evaluate the effectiveness of programs, and make data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation and program design
Develop and advocating for policies that support population health initiatives and address social determinants of health
Extensive collaboration with various stakeholders, including other government agencies, community organizations, healthcare providers, and local municipalities, to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to population health.
Effectively communicating the goals, progress, and impact of population health initiatives to various audiences, including policymakers, community members, and healthcare professionals
