Minimum Job Requirements:

 

  • Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program 
  • Completion of a clinical externship (extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal clinical externship)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA);
  • 2-3 years experience Clinical 
  • Basic direct patient care in similar setting 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and understanding of medical terminology are essential for success

    Job Overview:

 

Conducts a pre visit planning review for all patients on daily schedule. Obtains a high level of history from the patient including review of systems prior to them seeing provider. Performs a comprehensive health maintenance review and provides an oral report to the provider regarding patient history and chief complaint. Scribes documentation of the visit into the medical record by remaining in the exam room with the provider as the patient is treated. Enters all orders, including labs, imaging, medications, referrals seamlessly into the medical record. Reviews post-visit instructions with the patient and schedules their next appointment. Assists with gathering the data under the supervision of the provider. Administers treatments and medication under the direction of the provider. Monitors physician in-basket and returns patient phone calls. Other duties as assigned.
