Location: 

  • Good Samaritan Western Ridge - 6949 Good Samaritan Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45247

 

Work Schedule: 

  • Full - Time (80 hours bi-weekly) 
  • Day shift 
  • Monday- Friday. No weekend or on call rotation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in Healthcare; i.e. Medical Assisting, Surgical Technology, Health Administration, or similar (Required)

 

  • 3 - 4 years’ experience Physicians Practice Setting (Required)

 

  • Front office and back office operations of a physician practice, EMR and microsoft office 

 

  • Participation in a National Professional Organization is desired

 

Job Overview:

  • The responsibility includes coordination and oversight of the ongoing Multidisciplinary Clinics including collaboration with multispecialties, patients and caregivers. Responsibilities also include coordination and management of prescribed oral medications including prior authorizations, patient assistance, monitoring of oral compliance, etc.
     

Job Responsibilities:

  • TRACKING: Coordinator will track necessary metrics and data, look for trends, and areas of improvement. 

 

  • EDUCATION/AWARENESS: Coordinator will work to ensure patients understand treatment and management plans under the direct guidance of providers and physicians. 

 

  • COLLABORATION: Works with a team of individuals for brainstorming, group discussions, and problem solving. Using a multidisciplinary approach to allow specialist from different departments to work together. 

 

  • NAVIGATION/COORDINATION: Coordinates patient care across multiple healthcare providers to ensure they receive the best quality of care. Responsible for exchanging information between all participants in patients care. Ensuring resources are available to carry out the patients care. 

 

  • PATIENT ADVOCACY: Coordinator will identify, review and make available medically reviewed educational resources for patients. Coordinator will identify barriers to care and then search for interventions to overcome such barriers, including financial aid, grant funding, support groups, etc.
