TriHealth’s Internal Agency Contract offers experienced acute care nurses the unique opportunity to work as a Flex RN within our Telemetry Unit — a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect holistic nursing care for telemetry patients using the nursing process.
- Continuously monitor and assess cardiac status; document updates per TriHealth guidelines.
- Communicate assessment findings and care needs to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Serve as a resource and leader on the unit as needed, demonstrating autonomy and strong clinical judgment.
- Provide patient and family education, including cardiac condition management and safety.
- Participate in organizational improvements, committees, and unit initiatives.
- Ensure safe and therapeutic care while upholding patient dignity, autonomy, and rights.
Qualifications
Must‑Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- 2–3 years of acute care RN experience, including at least 1 year in Telemetry, PCU, cardiac stepdown, or similar monitored unit.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong cardiac assessment and monitoring skills grounded in nursing sciences.
Preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Travel, float pool, or high‑acuity cardiac experience.
- Professional organization membership.
Schedule & Work Arrangement
- 3×12s weekly (Rotating weekends & one holiday per contract).
- On‑site at Bethesda North Telemetry Unit.
