Work location:  Bethesda Butler Hospital at 3125 Hamilton Mason Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011

Work hours:

  • Optional
  • PRN hours
  • Shift varies
  • Weekend and holiday rotation

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience clinical in a related field (Preferred)
  • American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification OR American Medical Technologists (AMT) is Required 

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments. Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties. This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.

  • Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of shifting priorities based on changing business needs
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting team goals and operational success
