The 4200 Telemetry Unit is a specialized, stroke-certified unit at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital, offering expert care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. This 38-bed unit provides comprehensive treatment for individuals requiring pre/post cardiac catheterization, management of NSTEMI, heart failure, arrhythmias, and those undergoing structural heart procedures such as TAVR, WATCHMAN, and MitraClip. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is skilled in electrophysiology, caring for patients who need pacemakers, ablations, and defibrillator procedures. 4200 Tele Unit focuses on acute structural heart conditions. 

 

With continuous cardiac monitoring, our staff is equipped to manage the complex needs of patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiac concerns. 

 

As a stroke-certified unit, the 4200 Telemetry Unit also focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care to optimize recovery and enhance long-term outcomes. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care, utilizing the latest in medical technology, while offering compassionate support for patients and their families throughout their hospital experience. 4200 Tele Unit works extremely close with our ICUs and is a great pathway to grow in Critical care.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Certification within specialty area within two years of assuming position 

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)

Registered Nurse

Membership in related professional organization preferred

2-3 years experience Progressive Leadership in Nursing in a related field

2-3 years experience Clinical in Nursing

This position has 24-hour accountability for their area of responsibility.  This accountability encompasses: patient care outcomes, service excellence, human resource issues, fiscal management, quality improvement compliance, and communication. Job Requirements:

Quality and Patient Safety: Identifies key indicators and implements performance improvement measures related to quality, safety, other outcomes of nursing practice, and customer needs and expectations. Evaluates internal and external customer satisfaction

Retention Risk Assessment: Actively solicits staff for concerns and potential retention problems. Works to assist in retention of new employees, especially new graduate nurses. Demonstrates availability, approachability and high visibility. Varies time

Staff Recruitment and Selection: Assesses departmental staffing needs to determine recruitment priorities. Partners with HR in recruiting for the organization. Networks internally and externally to enhance candidate pool. Interviews and assesses candida

Customizing Staff Development: Identifies staff educational needs and facilitates opportunities for staff development in collaboration with nurse educators. Monitors staff performance and compliance with policies and procedures to identify and address

Enhancing Unit Communication: Solicits interactive, varied communication to provide staff the opportunity to give feedback or make suggestions for unit or organizational-level initiatives. Develops effective and collegial relationships with key physician

Unit Leadership: Collaborate with staff to develop, and reach performance goals supporting strategic nursing and unit-specific goals and activities. Develops leaders among staff, especially the Shared Leadership Committee. Fosters mutual respect and true
