- Full Time Nights - (72 hours bi-weekly)
- 7:00pm - 7:30am
- Every 3rd weekend rotation
- Holiday rotation
The 6200 Medical-Surgical Unit at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital is a dynamic 38-bed unit specializing in urology care. Patients admitted to this unit often face urological conditions, such as infections and other complications, but our team also treats a wide range of medical patients with complex needs, including diabetes management, and more. The 6200 unit offers a unique environment for both new graduates and seasoned nurses to expand their clinical expertise, focusing on skill development, time management, and the care of diverse patient populations. Nurses on this unit bring advanced technical knowledge in the field of urology, supported by an in-depth understanding of related pathophysiology and the ability to interpret complex lab results. Job Overview:
This position contributes to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and documenting objective and subjective data. This position also participates in the development of the Nursing component of the plan of care at the direction of an RN, physician, dentist, podiatrist, or optometrist, and implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with the LPN scope of practice set forth in the Nurse Practice Act. Contributes to the evaluation of client responses to nursing care and documents in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in Nursing
- Practical Nursing licensure required
- NAPNES certification-if graduated prior to 1988
- Working more than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time as an LPN in acute care
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
- Basic knowledge of the Biological, Physical, Behavioral, Social, and Nursing sciences
Job Responsibilities:
- Collects and documents patient data and observations per unit/TriHealth guidelines.
- Communicates assessment findings and patient needs to the RN and interdisciplinary team.
- Contributes to development, implementation, and updates of the patient plan of care, including discharge planning.
- Provides safe, therapeutic, and patient‑centered care while maintaining dignity and rights.
- Prioritizes workload and recognizes changes in patient condition, initiating emergency measures as needed.
- Implements and documents nursing interventions based on clinical data, standards of care, and patient outcomes.
- Performs technical skills, administers medications within scope, and uses equipment safely per policy.
- Accurately interprets and executes physician orders and maintains unit competency requirements.
- Evaluates and communicates patient response to care in a timely manner.
- Promotes professional growth, supports process improvement, and maintains effective interdisciplinary relationships.
