Minimum Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of OH
- ASHP accredited residency

Job Overview: Responsible for the filling and dispensing of medication orders including the proper handling, usage and storage of drugs in the pharmacy. Maintains standards set by the department and translates policies and procedures into the daily operation of the pharmacy. Responsible for acting as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug related information and literature. Plans and organizes work schedule of supportive personnel and pharmacists, as required. Is responsible for utilizing experience and judgment in managing issues as they arise during the third shift. In conjunction with other clinical disciplines, is responsible for the development of multidisciplinary performance improvement initiatives as they pertain to clinical and distributive services on the third shift. Responsibilities also include providing formal continuing education for nursing staff. Responsible for the coordination of activities and assignments of pharmacist and support staff on the third shift. Accountable for the quality and volume of work. Responsible for meeting all shift deadlines; scheduled and unscheduled. Responsible for preparing a shift report for the Director and Supervisor of Pharmacy Services detailing issues, problems encountered; corrective action taken and recommendations for preventative measures. Responsible for utilizing experience and judgment in resolving issues in the absence of direct input/consultation from other pharmacists. Attends regularly scheduled meeting with Director and Supervisor of Pharmacy Services. Assists in the evaluation of work performance of third shift employees. Recommends third shift staff for commendation or corrective action when indicated to acknowledge outstanding contribution or areas where improvement is required.

- Documents monitoring activities and interventions.
- Drug distribution skills including order entry, clarification if needed, accuracy of checking, technician supervision and timely delivery.
- Provides clinical information and education to a wide variety of disciplines through one-on-one and group discussion.
