Location:  Good Samaritan Hospital, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220

Work Hours:

  • Full time, Evenings
  • From 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Weekend and Holiday rotation

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree (Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)
  • Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent (Certification must be obtained within one year of hire)
  • Must be a graduate of an approved MLT program and be certified by ASCP or equivalent or registry eligible
  • Up to 1 year of clinical experience as required by the MLT program at a hospital

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in various areas of the laboratory, including Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. The role involves operating and maintaining a variety of laboratory instruments and utilizing the laboratory computer system in the performance of duties. Strict adherence to established policies and procedures is required, and the position operates under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.
