Job Overview

This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of results, and reporting findings to physicians, pathologists, or other healthcare providers. The role may rotate through key laboratory areas including Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis.

Duties include operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, utilizing the lab computer system, and adhering to established protocols. While the position works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist, direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.

Work Hours:

  • Full Time, 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Second shift 
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required (minimum of one weekend every six months)
Job Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
  • Graduate of an approved MLT program
  • MLT certification by ASCP (or equivalent) or registry-eligible
  • Certification must be obtained within one year of hire
  • Clinical training as required by MLT program
  • Up to 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting
