Medical Records Clerk I

FT day, no weekends, located at Good Sam, Clifton, for physician practices, great benefits! 

This position performs all clerical functions necessary to organize, maintain and use patient records. One may specialize in one or more of the standard functions listed below. Specific assignments will vary from day to day based on the needs of the department.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Basic computer 
Keyboard skills 
Good communication skills 
Ability to sort and file alphabetically, numerically, and chronologically

Job Responsibilities:

Completes daily work report in order to account for productive hours and contributes to work standards and budgeting of the department. 
Displays quality and quantity in daily work while focusing on completing assignments in an accurate and efficient manner. 
Files lab slips, x-ray reports, consult letters and all other correspondence in patient charts. 
Find charts for correspondence in the "Find Box" and put on the proper physician's desk with correspondence on top of the chart. 
Medical Record staff will maintain clean, safe and organized work space and environment. 
Open and distribute incoming mail and faxes. 
Will serve as resource to all form personnel to include training of various forms and assist in backlog for other centers.
