Job Overview: The assistant director of audiology would assist in overseeing and optimizing clinical duties as well as perform any project assigned by the director. The assistant director is also a practicing clinical audiologist. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Assist in managing staff schedules and clinical workflow. Schedule and coordinate space/resources for staff meetings. Assist in staff and patient education - continuing education, presentations regarding audiological services, streamlining referral sources, involvement with other specialties such as pediatrics, speech therapy, physical therapy, internal medicine, etc. Build team engagement across offices with quarterly or biannual team engagement activities (budget permitting). Assist in fiscal projects such as pricing, clinical budget, management of supplies orders, etc. Assist with hearing aid invoice reconciliation. Assist in marketing and social media. Meet with ENT regularly to continue to streamline workflow, improve collaboration, and optimize patient care. Job Requirements: Doctorate degree in Audiology 4-5 years experience Clinical Audiology Job Responsibilities: Maintains clinic schedule Manages department supplies orders and budget across 8 offices Coordinates staff meetings - rooms, resources etc. Works with department billing and coding for a more effective process and education staff accordingly. Any fiscal projcet assigned by director (unbundling. Etc) Encourages team engagement across offices Assists sin staff and patient education - continuing education, mailers, brochures, conferences, etc Tracks and implements newborn hearing screening follow up and pediatric diagnostic/rehabilitation results. Other Job-Related Information: 8 Satellite clinics to manage with the Director of Audiology.
