Cardiology Technician - Optional

Location: Bethesda Butler Hospital 3125 Hamilton Mason Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011

Work Hours:

  • PRN hours, minimum 8 hours bi-weekly
  • Day shift, every Friday

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Up to 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to start IVs (may be required)
Job Overview:

Bethesda Butler Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cardiac Exercise Testing Technician to perform graded exercise testing under the supervision of a registered nurse (R.N.). The technician assists patients in preparation for testing by applying electrodes, monitoring vital signs, and observing cardiac activity. Any abnormalities in heart rhythm must be promptly reported to the supervising R.N. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, service excellence, and a solid understanding of cardiac conditions. Additional responsibilities may include conducting signal-average EKGs, Holter monitor testing, and standard EKGs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform graded exercise testing while ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Explain procedures and properly apply electrodes
  • Monitor patients during testing and identify cardiac abnormalities
  • Maintain a clean and well-prepared testing environment
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility
  • Provide excellent customer service and exhibit strong interpersonal skills
  • Assist in cardiology-related procedures, including EKGs and Holter monitor application
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Stay up to date with best practices and trends in cardiology
