Location: Good Samaritan Hospital, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220
Work hours:
- Full-time,, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Day shift
- Weekend and holiday rotation
Job Requirements:
- Education: Associate's Degree in a related field.
- Licensure/Certification: MLT certification by ASCP OR an equivalent registration, OR completion of a recognized technician training program. Eligibility for MLT certification.
- Experience: Up to 1 year of experience, including internship training.
Job Overview:
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and the accurate reporting of results in adherence to established laboratory protocols and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prioritize, organize, and efficiently manage workload to handle the volume of work effectively.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness in all work performed.
- Execute complex assignments with minimal supervision and provide support as needed.
- Apply sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of laboratory procedures and quality assurance protocols, ensuring proper documentation when required.
Working Conditions: This position involves a combination of physical and cognitive demands, including:
- Rarely: climbing, kneeling, lifting over 50 lbs.
- Occasionally: lifting under 50 lbs., pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and sitting.
- Frequently: standing, walking, talking, hearing conversations or other sounds, and using hands for tasks.
- Visual and Hearing Requirements:
- Consistently: near visual acuity.
- Frequently: far visual acuity and color vision.
