LEAD POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIST-REGISTERED: This is primarily a technical position that assists the manager in overseeing appropriate and efficient functioning of multiple sleep centers, working under the general supervision of the medical director, Manager, or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Oversees/coordinates the activities of sleep technologists and related technical staff, ensures that day and night shifts operate in a smooth and efficient manner as approved by manager. This may include making technical work assignments, flexing technologist staff, problem solving, being a resource person, and overseeing technical staff performance. May also be asked to represent the department in dealings with other areas. Leads are expected to efficiently coordinate these duties with other Leads if more than one Lead is in the department. Performs the duties of a Registered Polysomnographic Sleep Technologist, including patient relations and education, technologist training and monitoring, and performing daytime polysomnographic procedures. May be responsible for setup and analysis of Home Sleep Tests (HST's), mask fittings, and other daytime procedures as needed or requested. Performs and/or coordinates routine data analysis as needed, and participates in research projects as necessary. Oversees disinfection procedures and verifies that technical staff is well trained, properly documenting and implementing all cleaning procedures in the sleep centers. Develops, updates, and distributes overnight monitoring schedule in conjunction with manager. Responsible for coordinating with manager on inventory and ordering of supplies, nutrition supplies, housekeeping and laundry services, as well as routine maintenance. Serves as liaison between sleep center front office, as well as night staff and scheduling department to maintain an appropriate schedule. Verifies that all patient-related material is handled properly and complies with HIPAA regulations. Other duties may be assigned, including health fairs and other special events. Assists manager with duties assigned by the manager in their absence, including potential off-shift calls from sleep technologists and office team members needing assistance. Provides situational support and professional assistance in collaboration with Front Office Coordinator or designee as needed or as assigned by the manager. EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program; Other-Technology 

EXPERIENCE: 6-8 years Technical; Other-Technology

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Extensive knowledge of sleep software, disinfection protocols to meet JCAHO standards. Data analysis skills and sleep testing procedures. Able to assist in development and implementation of sleep center policies and prcoedures.
