TriHealth is actively recruiting for an Answering Service Registered Nurse (RN) for our call center in Norwood, Ohio.


As a TriHealth Answering Service RN, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls in a timely manner. You will use excellent customer service, telephone, and communication skills to triage calls with "First Call Resolution" in mind. You will also collect data from patients to provide the best course of action in order to facilitate care between physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, other TriHealth specialties, and the patient.


You will obtain and utilize a working knowledge of Epic, Cadence, Cisco Phone System, and Kronos.


In this role you will also be responsible for:

  • Complete and thorough messaging; including all medical advice rendered and routed to the appropriate pool into the appropriate systems
  • Report critical labs to physicians, call for care instructions, referral process to ER or use of 911
  • Calling or notifying physicians of hospital/ER call back requests
  • Ability to call in prescriptions to a pharmacy and place in-patient chart for signature from physician after obtaining a telephone order from the physician
  • Relay messages to patients from the office and provide a positive experience to whomever is calling after hours
  • Ensure patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPPA are always upheld when entering a patient's chart or providing information on a patient


To be qualified for this role, you must meet these minimum requirements:

    • Associate's Degree in Nursing
    • Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio
    • 2-3 years of professional in Nursing
    • 1-2 years of experience in telephonic support
    • Strong Computer Skills
    • Electronic Medical Chart experience
    • Strong phone skills
    • Outstanding Customer Service skills
