WOUND, OSTOMY AND CONTINENCE NURSE CLINICIAN: This position provides acute and rehabilitative care for people with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The components in this position include education, consultation, counseling, research, and administration.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Nursing Certification in Wound, ostomy and continence care or certification in wound and/or ostomy. Other Certification through The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (CWOCNCB®) within 2 years of assuming postion. BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)Registered Nurse BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)

EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years Clinical Nursing Medical-surgical nursing

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Advanced knowledge of wound, ostomy, and continence nursing; Knowledge of adult learning principles.
