PATIENT ATTENDANT OPTIONAL EVENING/NIGHT

PATIENT ATTENDANT: This position is responsible to attend the patient requiring one-to-one attention due to high risk of falls or disorientation/altered mental status. The Patient Attendant must be at the bedside, available to the patient at all times. At no time can the Patient Attendant leave the patient unattended without the approval of the Registered Nurse. The role of the Patient Attendant is to provide a safe environment, protect the patient and alert the appropriate staff when there is need for intervention.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School Degree or GED BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)

EXPERIENCE: None

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Strong communication and interpersonal skills..
