LEAD APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER ANALYST: Under the general supervision and direction of the Applications Project Leader, this position performs high level technical systems analysis and programming in one or more specialized phases of applications. Also is delegated the responsibility and accountability of managing the application portion of projects from concept to completion. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Responsible for understanding customer needs and processes to ensure maximum utilization of automation and system availability. Persons in this position are responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Works with other Information System teams to ensure the performance of underlying technical infrastructure and software utilization. This position is also accountable for application development, modifications of existing and new systems, customer support, consulting and providing information as appropriate to departments, management and the organization. Scope includes defining and understanding specification, preparing request for proposals, and participating in system acquisition process and implementation. Serves as an example and facilitator to other team members.



EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree


EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years in a related field


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of some of the following systems based on work assignment: Visual Basic, C++, 3rd party languages, personal computer applications, databases and report writing.

Serves as functional expert providing expertise in the Payroll (S3) and HR (Landmark) system components.


•             Acts as technical resource to assigned functional areas and subject matter experts to ensure data integrity, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, define requirements for new modules or enhancements, design and develop interfaces (internal and external), test and implement solutions

•             Manages and/or supports the uploading of mass data changes within the various support systems.

•             Participates in system upgrades and patches by performing fit/gap analysis, table configuration changes, assist in preparing test scripts, test execution and implementation.

•             Leads small to medium-scale projects

•             Review and analyze system problems to identify solutions and/or make appropriate referrals.

•             Develop and maintain documentation to ensure recovery capability, as well as satisfactory and stable performance of the platform(s) and all applications and processes.

•             Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.

•             Acts as a primary Infor/Lawson resource for project support of various Payroll, HR and Benefits initiatives.

•             Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS, Payroll and with current applications.
