TriHealth is actively recruiting for an Enterprise Middleware Integration Architect for our data integration team in Cincinnati, Ohio.


In this role, you work independently, under the general supervision and direction of the Enterprise Middleware Integration Team Leader. You are responsible for review of products and vendors in the Enterprise Middleware technology area. You are also responsible for making recommendations to utilize existing technology more fully (tools, software, etc.) to achieve economies of scale and to fully leverage the enterprise investment.


Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the governance/standards of the middleware platform as the Systems Middleware expert
  • Work with enterprise middleware engineers to identify changes to the existing standards or extend the standards when needed
  • Assisting in the support, maintenance, and analysis
  • Installation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, trouble shooting, and administration of Enterprise Middleware infrastructure for TriHealth
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship including instructing, directing, and checking the work of other enterprise middleware developers
  • Interact with technology and business partners at all levels and be comfortable in a fast-paced technology environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and techniques
  • Work with multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams with members at different technical skills
  • Provide other integration and/or system support as assigned.


To be qualified for this position, you must meet these minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science
    • 5-7 years of experience of experience in Computer Science as a Java, eSQL, Visual Basic, or other language programmer
    • 4-5 years of experience in other programming language
    • Working knowledge of FTP and TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – but not limited to:
    • Flexible/adaptable learning and understanding new technologies
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Execute change and incident resolution quickly and efficiently to meet SLAs
    • Lead meetings, projects, initiatives, and other discussions.
    • Assist with the direction and delegation of incoming requests
  • Special Knowledge requested - but not limited to:
    • Preferred Epic Bridges, Care Everywhere certification(s) or previous build experience in one or both of these areas
    • Preferred Corepoint or similar HL7 interface engine certification or previous experience 
    • Experience with facilitating and delivery of technical solutions, prototypes, etc. 
    • Experience with PM/PMO collaboration on timelines and WBS development
    • Lead technical efforts to discover and define business use cases in the healthcare integration arena
    • Preferred experience with design, development of healthcare data integration processes
    • Preferred experience with documentation and support of healthcare data integrations, including point-to-point and engine/hub models
    • Preferred experience with providing technical support and solutions for Epic data integration solutions
