CLINICAL PHARMACIST-PHARMACOGENOMICS: The role of Pharmacogenomics Clinical Pharmacist is to collaborate with various healthcare teams, including Primary Care, Specialty, Hospital, and Genetics/Precision Medicine Departments with a focus on incorporating evidence-based pharmacogenomics information into comprehensive medical management services. The pharmacist will work to identify opportunities for use of Pharmacogenomic information to improve patient care and reduce medication harm/adverse events. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of genetics, pharmacogenomics, clinical pharmacology, drug metabolism, drug transporters, and related pharmacokinetic principles. To be successful in this role, the individual will need to be organized and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Creating and providing education to a variety of audiences through various modalities is a crucial component of this position. Additional skills vital to this role include project leadership, problem solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the creation and application of complex pharmacogenomics care delivery for patients throughout the health system. The individual will demonstrate professionalism, maintain a positive image when interacting with providers or patients, and possess a well-defined continual professional development plan in the area of Pharmacogenomics.


EDUCATION: Doctorate Degree Pharmacy None None Pharmacist PGY1 Residency, or equivalent; State License or eligible for licensure in State.

EXPERIENCE: Up to 1 year Clinical Pharmacy Pharmacogenomics Clinical Pharmacy

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Pharmacogenomics, demonstrated history of leadership, program development, collaboration, and public speaking.
