CLINICAL DATA SPECIALIST: The Clinical Data Specialist's (CDS) chief responsibility is to collect and submit reliable data to the ACS NSQIP. This is accomplished through high-quality data compilation, documentation and entry into the ACS NSQIP database of all elibible surgeries for the hospital. The CDS also works closely with the members of the Department of Surgery to identify opportunities for improvement and other special projects as may be identified. The CDS utilizes medical knowledge, nursing education and experience to assess and interpret clinical data. The CDS participates in Performance Improvement initiatives and studies and inter-departmental research studies as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Other Any health related field but the candidate must be an RNNone None Registered Nurse

EXPERIENCE: 4-5 years Clinical None Hospital surgery department, surgery clinic or clinical research 2-3 years Technical Other Technology Computer and internet experience. Familiatiry with MS Office productsSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: .
