TriHealth is actively recruiting for a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist for our Rheumatology team in Mason, Ohio.
The Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (via CBDCE) delivers comprehensive and seamless services that bridge the gap and integrate clinical and self management aspects of diabetes and cardiometabolic care and is an integral part of the inter-professional team. Team member will collaborate and provide patient-centered care through and education conducive to behavior change and improved quality of life. The Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (via CBDCE) supports and advocates for people affected by diabetes to help the patient achieve individual goals.
To be qualified for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Dietetics or Nutrition Certified Diabetes Educator Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (via CBDCE) Dietitian
- EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years
- SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
- Position will directly support Endocrinology department
- Prefer Registered Dietician, with a Master's degree in nutrition. Bachelor's degree is sufficient with 2-3 years of experience
- Must be knowledgeable with diabetes technology, insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitor systems
- Prefer experience in medical nutrition therapy, as well as renal nutrition
