STNA HOSPICE OF CINCINNATI: The primary role of the STNA is to provide direct patient care to Hospice of Cincinnati patients under the direction of a registered nurse. The STNA will assist with, and/or perform, basic activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, assistance with ambulation, etc., and the STNA will serve as a provider of companionship and emotional support, even during times of crisis. The position is responsible for knowing safety policies and following approved procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Degree or GED General Studies Successful completion of Home Health Aide competency skills checklist as required by Medicare regulations Basic Life Support (BLS) STNA Certification; Completion of Nursing Student Clinical Training is also acceptable and only required upon hire.
EXPERIENCE: None Clinical None Customer Service
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Hospice experience is a plus
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: This position works for the Hospice of Hamilton/Cincinnati Inpatient Care Centers. Must have dependable car with current insurance and capable of driving/floating to all (4) inpatient care centers (Anderson, Blue Ash, Hamilton, West). Cross training to other departments within Hospice as needed.
