VENTRICULAR ASSIST DEVICE COORDINATOR: The VAD coordinator is responsible for the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care for patients with a ventricular assist device. These patients are candidates for advanced heart failure therapy using VAD support with the intent of either bridge to transplant or destination therapy. The VAD coordinator is a motivated, self-directed, and engaging individual who possess knowledge and expertise in the practice of mechanical circulatory support (MCS). Directs the VAD program operation, develops strategy, and oversees financial management for optimal outcomes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Nursing Registered Nurse
EXPERIENCE: 3-4 years Clinical Nursing
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Understanding in the care of adult cardiology and cardiothoracic critical care patients, with acute care experience (critical care) required.
