PCA Float Pool Patient Care Assistant - Full Time, Days, $2,500 bonus plus hourly unit incentive

We are looking for a compassionate individual to join the Good Samaritan Hospital Float Pool Team as a Patient Care Assistant. The person in this role will provide assistance and/or performs basic activities of daily living and specified treatments and procedures under the direct supervision of the nurse. May perform non-direct patient care activities as assigned, requested, or directed.

Minimum requirements for this role as follow:

• EDUCATION:
  • 2 years High School Education.  High School Degree or GED preferred or graduate of an RN degree program,
  • Successful completion of Acute Care Medical Surgical Patient Care Assistant Training Program upon hire is required (Current nursing students) OR
  • Successful completion of OH Dept of Health Nurse Aide Training Program w/ a current STNA certificate required of all candidates.
  • Age 17 with work permit.
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
• SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Reading and math ability appropriate to the position
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
