LEAD MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST REGISTERED POINT OF CARE COORDINATOR: This position is responsible for the general oversight of the point-of-care testing program of TriHealth Laboratories. Oversight includes: development, maintenance, and execution of policies and procedures meeting CAP and applicable JCAHO standards for point-of-care testing for Good Samaritan Hospital and Bethesda North Hospital to ensure adequate training, testing and test monitoring; ensuring consistent testing and test reporting at all TriHealth point-of-care testing locations; order and distribution of supplies; investigation of potential point-of-care testing methods. This position must work independently but under the supervision of a site laboratory supervisor, and provide leadership for the other laboratory personnel trained to handle point-of-care testing duties performed within the laboratory.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program Graduate of an accredited school of MT, involving internship of at least 1 year MT (ASCP) or equivalent certificate. American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: MT clinical training and proficiency using Microsoft Office products is highly desirable..
