DIVERSITY EQUITY CONSULTANT: The Language Services and Health Equity Consultant is responsible for providing organization-wide leadership in Language Services and Health Equity. They provide language services for Limited English Proficiency (LEP), Deaf and Hard of Hearing patients from written and/or spoken material to assure understanding between medical and hospital staff, customers or patients' families before, during, and after hospital stays or clinic visits. Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. They work to ensure a high standard of interpretation and translation services while maintaining positive relationships with patients along with families, physicians, staff and volunteers. They also coordinate with contracted agency interpreter vendors to ensure access to the appropriate language services for patients at TriHealth. They also have responsibility for coordinating the planning, development and implementation of TriHealth’s program to address health disparities and advance health equity. They support and collaborate internally with population health, community relations, and other areas whose work involves addressing health disparities and advancing health equity. They equip TriHealth’s leaders with an understanding of health disparities and health equity. They connect with external groups that are addressing health disparities and health equity and they coordinate TriHealth’s work with the community and external organizations to understand and co-develop solutions to address identified gaps in health equity. Facilitate the data collection, tracking and reporting of outcomes for TriHealth’s strategies to address health disparities and advance health equity and community health. The Consultant develops goals, manages the budget and operations, and implements department and program quality improvements within Language Services to ensure consistent, unmatched patient experience. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and practices. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Public health, social sciences, or other health care related field required. 0 Basic Life Support (BLS) EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years Professional SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Fluent in at least two languages (written and/or oral). Spanish preferred.
