Acute Care Tech (PCA) - GSH Observation Unit - Part Time, Nights

The Acute Care Tech I provides assistance and/or performs basic activities of daily living and specified treatments and procedures under the direct supervision of the nurse. This position may perform non-direct patient care activities as assigned, requested, or directed. Will also performs clerical duties as assigned. Must have the interpersonal skill to communicate with respect and compassion to customers and to communicate information through various telecommunication devices while assisting in coordinating patient flow.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Degree or GED
• BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
• STNA Certification preferred
• One year of current or recent experience as Unit Clerk and/or Patient Care Assistant preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, knowledge of multi-line phone system, and familiar with patient call systems and pagers. Computer skills is a must.
