Outpatient Phlebotomist - Milford, OH

You’ll also assist with order entry, compliance documentation, and ensure smooth specimen processing. Location:  Milford, OH

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, 80 hours biweekly
  • Day shift 
  • No Weekend or Holidays

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School Degree or GED is required
  • Formal Phlebotomy training. Phlebotomy Certification preferred
  • Phlebotomy and other specimen collection techniques, including difficult venipunctures and pediatric draws 
    Lab terminology, proper specimen handling procedures.
  • Communication, customer service, and data entry skills
  • 1-2 years' experience in Phlebotomy

Job Overview:
This position performs phlebotomies and other specimen collections in physicians' offices, at draw sites, and at health fairs. This position accurately identifies patient, selects correct patient in HIS and other systems, retrieves correct lab orders, and completes collection task. This position properly collects specimens, accurately labels samples, and correctly prepares them for transport to lab. This position communicates with patients, nurses, physicians' offices, family members, and other caregivers. This position maintains standing orders and requires documentation for waste removal, fire drills, and other regulatory requirements. This position does not require direct supervision to process specimens.
