Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing 

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) 

  • Registered Nurse 

  • Current Ohio licensure

  • CMSA desired

  • 1-2 years experience Clinical in Nursing 

 

Job Overview:

This level of Occupational Health Nurse assists with special project work for the SHARE Occupational Health Program. Occupational health nurses collaborate with workers, employers, and other professionals to: identify health needs; prioritize interventions; develop and implement interventions and programs; and evaluate care and service delivery. The practice focuses on promoting, protecting, and restoring workers’ health within a safe and healthy work environment. The foundation for occupational health nursing practice is research-based with an emphasis on optimizing health, preventing illness and injury and reducing health hazards.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Applies Nursing Process and SHARE’s Medical/Nursing Guidelines to provide a workplace program for timely and effective treatment of first aid and emergency incidents as well as short-term care.

     

     

  • Utilizes Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes to monitor, trend and report quality and cost effectiveness of program outcomes, completes Daily Logs and attends annual SHARE Hazard Communications and Bloodborne Pathogens Training Session.

 

  • Coordinates and communicates initiatives with SHARE nurse coordinators and wellness coordinators .

 

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws regarding occupational health as well as professional guidelines and SHARE Occupational Health Program. Utilizes goal setting, administration, communication and evaluation to accomplish objectives.
    Provides occupational and non-occupational case management for client companies with the goal of providing quality healthcare, increasing continuity of care, containing costs and providing enhanced quality of life.

 

  • Designs, coordinates, and communicates special projects for the SHARE program and client companies; multitasking and traveling to multiple destinations per day to implement special programming and presentations at client companies.
    Coordinates and communicates initiatives with SHARE nurse coordinators and wellness coordinators.
