
Job Overview: Within the framework of the objectives and policies established by TriHealth and the individual department, provides coordination and direct delivery of music services and/or music therapy to Hospice of Cincinnati patients and families. Works collaboratively with the staff, physicians and volunteers to advance the mission and philosophy of TriHealth and Hospice of Cincinnati. This position is responsible for recruitment, training, and coordination of music volunteers and students. Job Requirements: Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in Related field of study 3-4 years experience Professional Related professional or technical Job Responsibilities: Ensure timely fulfillment of music therapy referrals by providing direct service to HOC patients and families Ensure strong communication with HOC clinical teams and compliant documentation on the delivery of integrative services. Work collaboratively with the volunteer services team on department initiatives and organizational strategies as identified by senior leadership Provide ongoing education/training/experiential sessions to music volunteers on activities/interventions that can be used during visits with patients. Educate the general community about Holistic Care as part of Hospice of Cincinnati's mission through presentations, workshops, printed information and experiential sessions. Other Job-Related Information: Music therapy certification preferred. Experience working with or supervising volunteers; comfortable teaching and training volunteers and providing community presentations. Willingness to self-study and develop new areas of integrative services. Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices.
