Financial Operations Specialist - IT

Job Overview:

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager Revenue Cycle Systems, the Financial Operations Specialist - IT will be responsible for optimizing cloud spending and usage, driving financial accountability, and ensuring cloud financial best practices with TriHealth. This includes managing cloud costs, implementing cost-savings strategies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to align cloud spending with business goals. This position focuses on the financial aspects of technology projects and operations. They will assist with financial reporting, budgeting, expense tracking, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations within the IT department or for IT-related initiatives. This role bridges the gap between finance and IT, requiring a blend of financial expertise and technological understanding. 

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance or computer science.
Cloud Cost Management: Monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing cloud resource utilization to reduce spending. 
Financial Accountability: Establishing clear financial ownership and responsibility for cloud resources.
FinOps Best Practices: Implementing and promoting FinOps principles and methodologies.
Collaboration: Working with engineering, finance, and business teams to align cloud spending with business objectives. 
Cost Optimization Strategies: Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce cloud costs, such as rightsizing instances, leveraging reserved instances, and optimizing resource allocation.  
Cost Visibility and Reporting: Providing insights into cloud spending through dashboards and reports. 
Tool Management: Utilizing and managing cloud cost management tools.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Contributing to the development of cloud spending forecasts and budgets.
Finance and/or Cloud certifications.
5-7 years of professional experience in Finance or Computer Science

Tool Management: Utilizing and managing cloud cost management tools.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Contributing to the development of cloud spending forecasts and budgets.
