MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST-CLIENT SUPPORT: This position provides technical expertise to serve both internal and external customers of TriHealth’s laboratories by responding to inquiries for results, specimen collection requirements, test codes, and other general information. This position uses various systems and resources, such as the laboratory information system (LIS), hospital information system (HIS), and laboratory website to obtain accurate information and to investigate and resolve complex issues. This position communicates information in various ways, including via telephone, fax, and email. This position develops a high level of expertise in customer service skills to ensure excellent communication and interactions with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, patients, laboratory personnel, and others.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Other Medical Technology MT, ASCP certified or eqivalent. EXPERIENCE: 3-4 years clinical experience as required by MT program at a hospital

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: MT clinical training.

Experienced medical technologist  to work in the Customer Support Call Center; EPIC and Sunquest experience preferred; able to troubleshoot laboratory issues with physician offices and hospital units.

MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN-REGISTERED: This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments. Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties. This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures, and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Must be a graduate of an approved MLT program and be certified by ASCP or equivalent or registry eligible. Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.

EXPERIENCE: Up to 1 year clinical experience as required by MLT program at a hospital

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: MLT Clinical Training.
